Supporters

For the first few years our work was supported by the founders and by the Soros Foundation of Hungary, as well as government and private donors.

T-Home (Hungarian Telekom) makes possible that our helpline can be called free from every corner of the country. T-Home covers a part of our telephone costs every year.

We relied on the regular financial support of the Secretariat for the Elderly at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. This yearly grant covered our operational costs, including the rental of premises and utility bills till 2009. As a dramatic and unexpected turn the ministry has cut off all our resources and stopped providing any more funding.

Although we keep trying to use all possible means to find the necessary funding and we continously apply for grants, it is becoming more and more difficult to cover our daily operational costs and to keep the helpline going.

We are grateful to all our supporters who offer 1% of their income tax for our foundation.

In 2010 the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission supported our international initiative to extend our activities to Slovakia, Romania and Serbia.

In 2013 and 2015 we had the privilage to be supported by Zwach Unicum Company.  This in kind contribution included computers and related equipment to boost our comuter literacy program for elderly.

We are thankful to the National Family and Social Policy Institute for their support.

The Hungarian National Cooperation Fund supported both our institutional and professional capacity building in 2015.

Our latest innovation, development and implementation of TársasTér web site, is financed by the NGO Fund of the EEA/Norway Grants.

Last but not least, we are more than grateful to all those private donors who supported us in 2015.
